The Board of Governors: The Board is charged with the management and control of the Society and is composed of members appointed for life or until resignation is accepted. They have power to appoint other members of the Society to the Board to fill any vacancies.

Executive Council: The Board has delegated authority to a Council to carry out the general administration of the Society within the terms of policy laid down by the Board.

Branches: Provision has been made for the formation of District Branches. Branches are well established at Bundaberg, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Darling Downs.

Foundation President: The Foundation President of the Society was the late Major-General The Hon. Sir William Glasgow, K.C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., V.D.

Activities: There is, in short, no worthwhile enterprise in keeping with the objects of the Society which will not come within the ultimate aim of the Society. The Society has already given support to such worthy causes as: St. Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, The Royal Flying Doctor Service, St. Paul's Church Restoration Fund, Emmanuel College, The Presbyterian Aged Persons Complexes and many others. In addition, Bursaries have been established for The Scots PGC College at Warwick and Fairholm College at Toowoomba, Toowoomba Grammar, Brisbane Boys' College, Clayfield College, Sommerville House, Emmanuel College, Brisbane. These are but a few of the many worthwhile enterprises supported or sponsored by the Society. To these ends, the Society will continually accept donations or legacies for any such purpose.

Composition: The Society is composed of responsible persons who are anxious and determined, that the Queensland Scottish element will play its full part within the State, the Commonwealth and the Commonwealth of Nations in conformity with the high principles of honesty, integrity, industry and loyalty, laid down and zealously guarded by our forefathers.

An invitation is now extended to stand 'Shoulder to Shoulder' with others of similar origins and loyalties to your own. The subscription has been deliberately kept low, so that all who are eligible and who subscribe to the objects of the Society may embrace this opportunity to serve, in an organised manner, the causes dear to their hearts.
